Hello gossip readers! Did you ever hear of the sentence “one picture is worth a thousand words,” well, photojournalism does, in fact, tell us a story through its artistic photographs. By the end of this blog post, I will ensure you are all experts in how to use photojournalism to tell a story. I will introduce you to these artistic concepts through my photo essay. I photographed a remarkable event when I returned to Ottawa for reading week! This furry little chipmunk came inside my house to eat nuts! It was a challenge to capture this special moment as I didn’t want to scare the chipmunk off, but this was such a beautiful event with genuine emotions from my cat and the chipmunk! In short, my cat Felix connected to the land as he spent time with the chipmunk!

  • Red, yellow and green trees in a forest with a view of my backyard.
  • A furry chipmunk eating a nut, with 7 nuts on the floor.
  • 10 nuts placed in the shape of a heart
  • The cat, Felix, looking at a chipmunk.
  • Felix the cat is staring outside, curious whether a chipmunk would appear.
