Hey trendsetters, I have meow-tastic news! It’s been a while since we’ve seen cat cafés open up, but cat fans managed to bring this trendy coffee shop back!

Salut les passionnés de mode, j’ai des nouvelles miaou-tastiques! Ça fait un bout de temps depuis qu’on a vu des cafés de chats ouvrir, mais les fans de chats ont réussi à ramener ce café de chats!

Lazy Cat Café recently closed its Scarborough location and opened a new cat lovers’ spot in the heart of downtown. It is located on the second floor at 360 Queen St W and will whisker you away! If you’re as bad as me at following a map, it’s the building next to CIBC.

Le Lazy Cat Café a récemment fermé sa location à Scarborough et a ouvert un nouveau spot pour les amoureux des chats en plein cœur du centre-ville. Il est situé au deuxième étage au 360 Queen St W et vous fera ronronner de plaisir! Si vous êtes aussi confus que moi pour suivre une map, c’est le bâtiment à côté de CIBC.

We went exactly one month ago, on opening day. Happy one month to this wonderful cat café! Anyways, if you remember, this same day was the huge power outage due to flooding. Because of that, commuting took a little while — and by that, I mean that we could’ve walked quicker than using the bus, but we still made it!

Nous y sommes allées il y a exactement un mois, sur la journée d’ouverture. Joyeux un mois à ce merveilleux café! En tout cas, si vous en souvenez, cette même journée correspondait à la grande panne d’électricité causée par les inondations. À cause de cela, le trajet a pris un certain temps — et quand je dis ça, je veux dire que nous aurions pu marcher plus vite que de prendre le bus, mais nous y sommes quand même arrivées!

In the beginning, we had to use flashlights to climb up the stairs and go to the washroom to wash our hands before seeing the cats, but about an hour later, the power restarted, and our cat cafe experience became even better!

Au début, nous avons dû utiliser des lampes de poche pour monter les escaliers et aller aux toilettes pour nous laver les mains avant de voir les chats, mais environ une heure plus tard, le courant est revenu, et notre expérience au café des chats est devenue encore meilleure!

This cat café has everything a cat lover can dream of, especially the friendly, adoptable cats! Who knows, maybe the cat distribution system will bless you! Trust me, if I wasn’t going on an exchange to Spain in a few months, I think I would’ve taken one myself!

I got acquainted with many cats. However, my favourite was Pop — as you can see below!

He is a tiny kitten who came to sit on me, play, and was very interested in the camera! This cat was worth my cat allergies flare-up, haha!

Well, this cat café has a fantastic cat-titude. They rescue and rehome animals and have already saved 120 cats. They also have an application in progress to become a non-profit organization, meaning they must treat their cats well!
