You know that feeling when there's something wrong. You know it's coming, but you can't help that stomachache that comes with it. It usually comes during bad news, A breakup, a job rejection, a death...
It's that gut-wrenching feeling where your insides want to kill you. Are you going to throw up? Run to the washroom? Or is it your anxiety making you overthink? Why are they out to get you?
Stomachaches feel worse than headaches (at least to me), Because you can't pop a pill for it to help, There's no quick fix -- not when it's emotion-based, You just have to deal with it.
Sit there, hunched over your own thoughts, waiting for the wave to pass. You do four breaths in, four breaths out-- Doesn't help.
Your stomach is just reacting to you ahead of bad news, Before your brain names the issue, Your heart feels it, Or your ears even hear it.
Your stomachache is a warning sign, A sign about the pain you're going to face.
